AQA History (A-Level and GCSE) workshop with David Ferriby - Thursday 7th June

This day is designed to give an overview of the A-Level course for both Paper 1 (breadth study) and Paper 2 (depth study), as well as the NEA unit for the AQA History course.  It will look a the structure of the course, assessment and suggested approaches.  The afternoon session will be a more informal AQA GCSE session of Q&A and collaboration.

David Ferriby has enjoyed a long career as a teacher and Deputy Head of a large comprehensive school and has also been a Senior Examiner.  He runs training courses for AQA.

  • Session 1: Paper 1 Breadth Study (9.20-10.30am)
  • Session 2: Paper 2 Depth Study (10.30-11.40am)
  • Session 3: NEA (12.10-1.40pm)
  • Session 4: GCSE Q&A and collaboration (2.10-3.20pm)

This session is being run for the Cotswold School History department but colleagues from other schools are welcome to attend.  The Cotswold School teaches units on Industrialisation and the People and Russia 1917-1953, but the course is more focused on general assessment, course structure and advice rather than being content specific.

Cost: £25 per session or £75 for the full day (£50 for partner schools).
