Today saw our first Unqualified Teacher Training day, supporting five colleagues from Beaufort School in Gloucester. The day was spent focusing on what learning really meant and how that could be seen in the classroom. This included discussion on questioning technique, challenge and the difference between learning and performing.
The level of engagement and enthusiasm was excellent and our visitors appreciated the opportunity to see learning taking place in a new and different context as well as being able to make relationships with 'buddies' from The Cotswold School.
Whilst this course can not lead to a formal qualification, it is a pleasure to support strong teachers to become even better at one of our main partner schools. Two further days will follow in the Spring and Summer terms.
